Justice Must Be Brought Against The Lawless No Matter Who They Are
Whether it is rioters, looters, insurrectionists, those inciting them, criminals with a badge and a gun, politicians in seats of authority or the common man, justice must be brought when the law is violated. To fail to bring justice is to abandon love, liberty and order in society and put at risk those who are good citizens.
Articles and Bible verses mentioned in this episode.
Matthew 23:29Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You build tombs for the prophets and decorate the monuments of the righteous. 30And you say, ‘If we had lived in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partners with them in shedding the blood of the prophets.’ 31So you testify against yourselves that you are the sons of those who murdered the prophets. 32Fill up, then,g the measure of the sin of your fathers. 33You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape the sentence of hell?
34Because of this, I am sending you prophets and wise men and teachers. Some of them you will kill and crucify, and others you will flog in your synagogues and persecute in town after town. 35And so upon you will come all the righteous blood shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah son of Berechiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar. 36Truly I tell you, all these things will come upon this generation.
He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God? Micah 6:8
Proverbs 21:15 When justice is done, it brings joy to the righteous but terror to evildoers.
Proverbs 28:5 Evildoers do not understand what is right, but those who seek the LORD understand it fully.
Hosea 12:6 But you must return to your God; maintain love and justice, and wait for your God always.
Ecclesiastes 3:17 I said to myself, “God will bring into judgment both the righteous and the wicked, for there will be a time for every activity, a time to judge every deed.”
2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.
